Easter through the eyes of Joseph

This Easter we will explore the significance of Christ’s works through the lives and experiences of three people named, Joseph. Themes of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection will be unearthed as we trace the impact of Christ’s death and resurrection across the ages.

  1. Joseph: a type of Jesus

In this sermon we look at the life of Joseph, the son of Jacob. We explore how his life anticipates the coming of the Messiah, informing us of God’s great plan of redemption.

  2. Joseph: the father of Jesus

This sermon focuses on Joseph, Mary’s husband. We explore how we can live counter culturally motivated by his story, in the light of Jesus’ death on the Cross.

  3. Maundy Thursday service – TBA
  4. Joseph: a follower of Jesus

In this sermon we focus on the resurrection through the life of Joseph of Arimathea. We note how he gives up family property, for the sake of the King, and how we can do likewise for the sake of God’s kingdom.
